Internships or the camps that aren't money makers always seem to be science, math, or technology based. Any that are humanities, arts, english, history, etc? I'm especially interested in history, but haven't seen anything?
I know about TASP and TASS, but I can't apply for TASP and TASS doesn't look quite as interesting.

I also know some creative writing ones: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/summer-programs/645318-creative-writing-summer-programs.html

TASP and TASS: [url=http://www.tellurideassociation.org/programs/high_school_students.html]Telluride Association: Our Programs: For High School Students/url

Also, volunteering? Chicago would be preferable, but anywhere else that is residential works. I have no idea how to get a volunteer job either so a link to that would be nice, I'm sure its been asked somewhere but I can't find a thread.

I'll take any age in high school, since I might as well think about later one, but 2013 summer I'll be a rising sophomore.

And for independent research--I have no idea what I could do one on. Is it possible to do one on something history, art, english, political science related? I can't find anything on that, though there are wonderful resources for science ones. Times like these I wish I was a science person.

Thanks!
