Not sending in AP scores

I'm just curious, will I be rescinded for not sending in my AP scores if they're not required for the 60 unit minimum, IGETC, or any prereqs? It just seems kinda pointless for me to send in my scores when they don't affect any of these things.

No, you won’t be.

I’m SO scared I’m going to forget lol They make up almost half my credits ahhh

when i was talking with the UCSD addmissions officers, she said: “we have to verify everything you put on your app by jul 15, so yes”; i was reluctant to send mine in too cause i passed 1 out of the 6 ap’s i took (sucks i kno! but that’s why i’m at cc for 3 years!) but i still did a month ago and they cleared it;

Hmm are you sure? Because my provisional contract clearly states I must send them in if I want to receive credit. Kinda iffy wording.

My friend works for Undergraduate Admissions here at UCLA, they don’t want paperwork they don’t need, lol. Unless you put on your application that the scores fulfill IGETC/Pre-reqs…I don’t see why you would have to send them in…o__o

But you can go ahead and pay the fee if you want, lol.

Ok I better not risk it then and send in all my scores. Is it super easy to request scores and have them sent to the school?

Damn it I wish I didn’t need to do this. Most of my AP scores are worthless anyway since I didn’t pass a lot of them lol.

California law states you need to send in everything…

better safe than sorry right?

Call them and request for your scores, remember to have your AP identification number!

And if we don’t have the identification number? It’s been like over 2 years since I last took an AP exam and I lost the mail that had my scores on it.

If you put in your SS number, then use that. I wouldn’t know what would happen if you didn’t put that. Maybe they will be nice and look you up manually.

Good luck!

Oh and be prepared to be on hold, lol.

^^ sending in ap scores are done by machine. you enter all the numbers in on the telephone. and you’re set. be prepared to pay with credit card at the end. it’s 15 dollars

Ohh yeah, I think I remember putting in my SS number to hear my scores on the phone back when I was in high school.

So for sending in my scores, how does that work? Do they send it directly to my school of choice, or do they mail me my scores and I have to mail that to the school? Or can all of this be done electronically?

Thanks again

^
They will send it directly to your school. On my.ucla.edu, it will update whenever they receive the scores.

If you can’t enter your number, you’ll be transferred to an operator. I had my number and I was still transferred, lol.

^ they ask for either SSN or AP number. o.o

you know what… here:

Is the process of sending in transcripts the same? As in, do you order the transcript from your school and they send it to UCLA for you?

^
Yes it is, you order it from your CCC and they will send it over to UCLA. Again, it will be updated on my.ucla.edu when UCLA receives it.

that’s totally up to your school…
