Not sending Tax Return forms? Also, CSS Profile Priority Filing Deadline question...

I'm having two issues:

My dad is adamantly against sending his tax forms because all of his personal info and SSN and such are on there. You're supposed to make copies of the Tax Returns and send them to the college, correct? What would be the best way to convince him? He's not making this easy on me. Sigh.

Another thing. The Priority Filing Deadline for the CSS Profile is today. However, my mom has the 2010 Tax Returns and won't be able to fill out that section and her Noncustodial section until tomorrow. Would that be okay to do?

Can he afford to pay for your college without financial aid? Or you can limit yourself to FAFSA only schools where the tax information can be automatically retrieved from the filed taxes from the IRS automatically and he probably won’t need to print out and send anything but the college is still going to “know” his financial situation either way. If you don’t need financial aid and he can afford the entire cost then he doesn’t have to reveal anything…other than the checks for tuition, room and board.

I finally convinced him it was necessary, haha. But this is good information to know. Thank you, momofthreeboys! :)
