Not showing up on test date?

Something came up, and I don't think I will be able to take the June ACT test. What will happen to my scores? Are they just canceled?

you wont get a refund, unfortunately. nothing else happens.

That is fine, but my other ACT score from April won’t be affected, right?

You just won’t take the test, and you won’t get any scores. No refund.

Your other score shouldn’t be affected.

Sorry to revive this topic, but I just want to make sure: Nothing will happen, right? The date I missed doesn’t count as a score or anything? As in, if a college asks me to submit all ACT scores, they won’t see that I did not show up for one test date? Should I call the ACT company to make sure?

No, it’s like nothing ever happened.

and btw, they wouldn’t care that you couldn’t make it anyway.

yah. nothing should happen. i think colleges understand circumstances that arise and you can’t make it. soo don’t worry about it. just retake it again if you need to during the fall

and besides, Im pretty sure that many people, mostly seniors, skip out on the June date since it is the summer.

[ACT FAQ : What if I missed the test date I signed up for?](http://www.actstudent.org/faq/answers/missedtest.html)

No score reports are sent at all. You may be eligible for refund on some optional items (if you signed up for any). You may be able to request a new date and pay just a fee for that.

ooo, I didn’t know you could get a refund. Sweet

Just a quick question:

I signed up for the October date (missed the Sept. registration - there goes Early Action to schools…) and I was trying to switch the date, but the ACT tried charging me $20 plus the actual fee for the test to switch the test! So, I just registered for a new test altogether. Could this be a problem?

It’s not a problem. But now you have registered for two tests. So you can, if you want, go and take it on both days. And you might still be able to do EA even if you take it in October. Definitely check with the schools you want to do EA.

Thanks for the info, because I have plans for no showing up. After I started with practicing the tests with timing, I think that I am not damn ready ! The essay part, no clue at all !
