<p>Sometimes, however, the curve is a bit more generous, so -1 with 10 essay could yield 800 (rarely, though).</p>

Lucky you. I got a 9 essay with -0 MC and a 790 total (May). Boo! Based on the Jan. QAS, only 1 out of the 3 possible writing curves had a 9 essay + -0MC = 790 - the other 2 were 800’s (pointing this out because it’s likely the same in the May test). My luck is just that bad.</p>
