So I just got my first semester (senior year) grades back today and I received straight As in all my classes, including three AP courses. I have already submitted by applications and transcripts, but do you think it would improve my chances of admissions if colleges saw how well I did during this semester? If so, how would I notify them?

Thanks for the comment CallmeMaybee. Do you know if colleges are still evaluating applicants when they look at the mid year report? I was under the impression that the mid year report was only for once you had been accepted.

^Yeah the mid year report isn’t taken into account for admission decisions if you applied EA/ED

But for RD they won’t make a final decision until they’ve seen your mid year report. In some cases, they’ll look at your application all at once with the mid year report included. In other situations, they may start reviewing your application before they receive the mid year report, but will still hold off of making their decision until they’ve seen it. It’s the final second semester report that is only for when you’ve been accepted.
