<p>My daughter received a letter from Ohio Wesleyan Univ. today stating "Congratulations" that she was chosen to receive a scholarship from the school. The only problem is, she never received any letter of acceptance. Is this a scam or are we missing something here?</p>
<p>I would have her check email messages including her spam box, and also the admissions site for the college. SOmetimes the colleges have a site online where you can check your status. I doubt it is a scam. If you can’t find out anything that way, have her call her admissions counselor.</p>
<p>Occasionally, you will get the scholarship notification first; the assumption seems to be that admission is included. But you should call the school to make sure.</p>
