So I'm a very science-oriented person. Biological sciences is my forte, and I'm doing extensive research in it. In clubs where we enter science competitions and all that jazz. Many of my other extracurriculars, leadership positions, and employment/volunteer work are science-related.

I've also been an artsy student during middle school. But in high school now, I've been so focused on academics that I haven't been participating that heavily in the arts. I was just part of my school's annual play, but it was a big commitment (13-16 hrs a week of rehearsal).

I recently found out about an opportunity to join a youth chorus. I'm not sure if I can get in because they hold auditions, but I'm not sure if I should do it. This youth chorus is not affiliated with the school.

Should I take this opportunity? Or substitute it with joining another club, which will probably be science-related or something academic?

Much thanks.
