I can't decide if I want to apply to Wake Forest Regular Decision. I was denied ED to my first choice school, but accepted to Tulane. I went down to New Orleans a couple days ago and loved Tulane. I've always considered Wake Forest my second choice, but now I can't decide if I like Tulane or Wake better. I don't really want to go through the application process again as I'll be stressed out for another three months, when I should be having the time of my life. Any thoughts or reactions?

Also how big of a difference is their in your minds between Tulane and Wake?

if it makes any difference I'm looking to major in Econ and I've got a lowish GPA from a prep school and a 1410. My GC says I'm a coin flip at Wake if I apply.

FYI...I'm gonna cross post this in the Admissions forum as well so I'm sorry if this gets anyone mad.

It never hurts to apply, but if you really don't want to, don't feel pressured to.

Both are on about the same tier, academically. Wake is slightly more prestigious (especially in business), but Tulane is really well-respected too. You'd get a fine education at either.

If your heart is leaning toward Tulane, don't be afraid to admit that you now like it more than Wake even though you had always thought Wake would be your priority. Nonetheless, you may as well apply to it if you are undecided, but go into the process without stress- since you know you love Tulane, realize that if you do not get into Wake it doesn't matter, you're set, and if you do, it's great and you'll have another decision to make. I would apply only if you can manage to not think about it and don't burden yourself.

Both schools are excellent and congratulations on Tulane!

How much is financial aid a factor? it may make sense to apply with the intention of comparing financial aid offers, and maybe to another safetyish school as well. You can also use another school financial aid offer as leverage on the school you really want.

Congrats on Tulane. Superb school, and it's near (not so much in) a recovering area, which means great opportunities for you to work on community development. Honestly, if you like Tulane, GO THERE. It's about YOU for these 4 years.
