Not Sure If I'm Challenging Myself Enough.

Hey guys! I'm currently a Sophomore making my way to Junior. So far, I've only taken 2 AP classes and the rest are honors. I'm taking one more Junior year but I feel like I should take another. I'm trying to get into UCSD, however I feel that taking APUSH next year is pointless because I want to go into the engineering field. How can I challenge my high school life while focusing on classes based on Electrical Engineering? I signed up for AP Physics next year.

No matter what you plan to major in you’ll still have distribution requirements, which could include a history class. Taking AP courses in English, history, etc. will allow you skip some of those requirements in college so you can take more engineering courses.

I don’t know where people got this idea that you should only take courses that pertain to your particular major. College is when you choose courses pertaining to a major, not high school. You need variety in your high school transcript (plus, APUSH is looked at very highly by most colleges)
