Hey guys. I recently finished my common app essay. I let my friend read it, and he liked it, but he suggested that I change the topic to match my extracurricular achievements in order to convince colleges of my passion and my ability to “change the world.”
I understand what he means, but it seems like suuuuuuuch a pain to write a whole new essay. I’d really appreciate it if anyone could read it and give me some feedback on the topic and how good the essay is irrespective of the topic.Thanks everyone!

The objective of the essay is NOT to convince the AdComms that you can change the world. The objective of the essay is to get the AdComms to like you enough to say YES.
Don’t post your essay ever. If you want someone to review it, then PM it.
I would recommend your essay be about an aspect of yourself not reflected in other parts of the application. They’ll see what your extracurricular activities are already. Use the essay as a chance to tell even more about yourself.
