"Not Sure" option of myBerkeleyapp

Okay so this just occurred to me:
I am a transfer applicant from a UC.

For anyone who's a transfer applicant, please help!

Problem: I THINK I am eligible for UC Reciprocity. I only need 4 classes (taken Spring 2010) to complete all my GE's. Thus, should I even fill out the IGETC form? I would have 4 classes planned. My only reason for doubt is that my spring schedule classes MAY not fit with each other.

However, if I filled out the L&S, I would only have 1 class planned.

IGETC Stats:
4 A's
1 A-'s
2 B+'s
4 PLANNED classes (to satisfy current UC GE requirement)

L&S Stats:
1 A-'s
1 A
670 Math SAT I
720 Math SAT II
AP Calc = 4
AP English = 3
only 1 PLANNED classes

I've satisfied the FL requirment through Spanish in highschool + 3 quarters of Chinese.
Should I just do the "not sure" option and fill out both?

bump this please.

its last minute i know. it just occurred to me this weekend.

bummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmp

I think this would be the best option. It’s too late to ask a representative. When they see your information they can evaluate it accordingly.

really? are you transferring too?

or have you already successfully transferred to CAL? Will this look really bad on my part as an applicant? =</p>

bump please.

bump…sorry

bumpppppppppppppp

Thanks for your input, rpicton…I think I’ll do that.

…Too much information can’t hurt, right?

But I have 4 plannned classes…which means grade-less. ■■■■. Would they give me the benefit of the doubt? I took stupid *ing upper div classes that do NOTHING out of *ing my own stupid interests. sigh.

Aren’t you a UC student already? If so, you should be worried about your UC Reciprocity. IGETC is only for CC students.

Yeah sorry that’s what I meant.

This is probably kinda late, but you should mark that you plan to have a letter of reciprocity by the time you start at Berkeley. There’s an option for that. IGETC is for CC students only.

If you don’t get all your GEs done by summer, you can still take a summer class at your UC and get all your GEs finished. You can also take a community college course over the summer, transfer it over and have it reviewed for GE. Afterwards you can get the letter of reciprocity. As long as you finish all of your GEs in one way or another before you start the term at Berkeley, LA (wherever other UC you applied to), you’ll be eligible for a letter of reciprocity. However, you cannot start at Berkeley, go back to your current UC over the summer, and finish the GEs then. I emphasize that you need to finish them before starting the term at Berkeley or wherever.

– I asked the counselors about this hella.
