Not sure what ethnicity to choose.

<p>Hello everyone!</p>

<p>Well here is the deal.. I'm 27 years old and have decided to finally pursue higher education! But i am not sure what i should put as my ethnicity. My mother is "white" a mix of Irish, German, Cherokee and about 100 other things! and my father is 100% Arabian born and raised in Saudi Arabia. So i have always considered myself 50% Caucasian 50% Arabian.. but i rarely if ever see Arabian or Middle Eastern on scholarship or any other application form. and was wondering what the suggested action is in the case of them not listing an appropriate choice. </p>

<p>i’m not sure how much Cherokee we have in us… i know its never been confirmed or anything like that how would one go about determining the amount of a specific race someone is?</p>

<p>What you are asking about is race, not ethnicity. For US Census and college admissions purposes, your ethnicity is non-Hispanic.</p>
