not sure what to do.. (app status page)

I applied EDII. On the commonapp is says that the supplement, commonapp, everything was downloaded. However, on the application status page it says that everything was received, including the commonapp, except for the supplement. and because it says the supplement wasn't received, a lot of my details were incorrect such as it doesn't know whether I want an interview or not and it currently has me registered as RD (I had to put RD on the commonapp because I was rejected by my EDI school so I can't put another school as ED. but on the supplement i put EDII.). Should I just wait and see if the status page will just update in a few days, or should I call/email the admissions office to see if it actually has been received or not?
Thanks.

I think you should get an email from TAMS. Well, that's what I think. But not sure though. But anyway, if you get an email u don't have to worry much. But if you don't that's when u should contact the TAMS. I say wait until Jan 6th and then give them a call. Hope that helps.
R u going for an interview?? I am not sure if I should go for one. Would that be a good idea?? What do you think.

the same thing happened to me - it says my supplement isn't in but common app does...so i'm a bit confused, but i think i'm going to wait for a bit and see if it changes. but don't worry too much; i think it's just too many things are going on at this time for the admissions office...and i remember reading somewhere that they'll send an email early feb with the definite parts that are missing.

Did you send everything on the same day? In reading this thread I had my son check his and there has been an update since the 31st and now they have all the stuff from his high school checked off as well so it looks like his entire application is complete!

I'd give them a few days to make sure it's all getting organized, but I have to say it looks to be running very smoothly from my perspective. And as a parent, this is the kind of thing I appreciate. One can maybe assume they hold a similar level of organization with billing, grading, communication in general. That's what I am going with anyway. :)

Same thing goes for me - common app says my supplement is in, but my TAMS says it isn't. I'm guessing it's because I submitted the supplement on Jan 1st (in the morning though) and they've had a deluge of supplements coming in along with mine. If you think about it, Jan 1st was a holiday, and then Jan 2nd was the only day they had to really update TAMS. So I'm guessing they just haven't gotten to it yet.

I'm waiting it out for a bit... I'm going to give them this week.

thanks for the replies.
i guess i'll just give them a week or so to update everything. and sowmit, yes i am going to go for an interview. it can be a good way for them to learn things about you that you maybe didnt get across in your application. they may see something they like.. It can also be a way to express how much you really want to go to Tufts.

The same thing happened to me!
Don't worry, it'll come in.

Today we are expecting somewhere upwards of 50 (50!!) buckets of mail to roll into our office at 10:15.

University was closed on Jan 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th. So today will bring our postings from the 4 heaviest mail days of the year (for us) all at once.

The same thing is true for electronic submissions. We don't list your materials as "received" until they are printed out and placed in your file. Over the last 7 days, we've received (literally) ten thousand application submissions. Imagine the time it takes to print all that out. We print the common apps before we print the supplements.

Anyone who submits their application in the days immediately surrounding the deadline must exercise patience because it takes times just to get all those envelopes open, all those files printed, and all those pages into their files.

No need to worry. It'll all get sorted out, and if anything you think you submitted is actually missing, we'll be able to contact you.

I'm not sure if it is appropriate for me to post here but I am in a similar situation with many others in this thread. I have patiently waited for TAMS to indicate the receipt of my supplement but it has been more than a week and I am beginning to feel nervous. I understand that it is only a matter of time before everything is updated but I am mostly worried about not getting an interview if my supplement is printed/filed late (everything else has been received). So my question is: when is the latest that I can be contacted for an interview or am I doomed if TAMS does not update my file within the next week?

^^^^^^^^^

If you're still having this trouble, giving us a call is a reasonable course of action.

I am shocked that Tufts prints out all of the electronic submissions. I would have thought that they would have some other system in place in 2009.
Perhaps a coded bar number for each applicant? File folders could be preprinted with bar codes. Received paper could be placed in the file and received electronic could be opened and 'filed' in a unique computer file correlating to the code number. When it comes to reading the file the infomation that came through as paper would be in the file folder and a wand used on the bar code for on-line reading of all of the electronic materials.
Does a system like this exist? If not, I'm in line at the patent office tomorrow! Hey, I'm not a programer nor an inventor, quite the opposite acutally, a 'type A' CPA. Not the most creative mom on the block but I know how to tell others how to run their business most efficiently. LOL
Where does all of this paper land in a couple of years? I'm not tree huging, I'm just concerned about the amount of personal and confidential information sitting in piles. Hopefully they hire a shredding company.

Ratzer: I suspect the issue is not the possibilities of technology but rather the practicality of how admission decisions are made. I suspect it is convenient and easy to have multiple people read the comprehensive paper file -- and easier to refer to it in one place when the whole adcom debates an applicant.

They should just use that special kind of recycled paper!
