Alright so I just have a question regarding Communications schools. Well right now I'm a freshman student at UTA (Arlington) and I'm going to be transferring next year. As of now, I have an automatic transfer to UT Austin, and I really wouldn't mind going there, but I decided to apply to a few other schools as a transfer student just to keep my options open. I got a 4.0 my first semester and have an OK high school record (1280 SAT, 3.7 unweighted GPA) so I think I might have atleast decent shot at the schools I'm applying to: UNC CH, Boston University, Syracuse, Emerson College. My question is, theoretically, and again, I say theoretically, if I got into all of these schools for Communications, would it be worth paying the extra money in out of state tuition to attend one of them over UT Austin. How do the Communications programs at the schools I'm applying to measure up to the one at UT Austin? I know it's premature to ask about this, but I was hoping to get some perspective. Thanks.

Any ideas? Oh and the SAT is out of 1600 not 2400. I got a 1950 out of 2400...I really don't think it matters though because isn't the SAT supposed to test your ability to do college level work? What's the point if your already in college?

Stick with UT. It will be the most like what you are used to academically.

What are you looking for in a "Communications school" ?
Emerson is funky, BU and UNC not so much...
Very different places. So the question you need to ask is who is going to teach you the style Communications that you value.
If your still not sure than just stick with UT and adjust when you do know more of what you want.
