Not Sure.

Hi, I'm currently a senior in high school, getting ready to apply to colleges. I guess the questions I have pertain not only to College Search and Selection, but to general life as well.
I really love biology, and the sciences. I find some parts of them to be kind of hard, but nothing that I can't understand if I only apply myself to it. Currently, I am in AP Biology, and this love has strengthened, sort of. You see, I love what I am learning. But because of the extent and the depth of the book and the sheer amount of knowledge associated with it, I am not exactly sure if going into biology would be a great idea.

Other than this, I also served my school as student body VP during my sophomore and junior year, and I am continuing as a regular student as I did not get reelected. I have come to love this part of my life as well, acting as a leader, making important decisions etc.

My question is, would it be logical to I double major in college for example, in Psychology and Business while doing Pre-Med, or doing a Major in Psychology and a minor in Business?

Also, in the case that I decide that business is a better choice for me, what kinds of careers are available to me? In the long term, how much of a salary might I be able to make, generally?

At the moment, I have been hearing a ton about healthcare administration. Its pretty interesting to me-something that I would not mind doing, but how is the pay, and the job on a daily basis? What kind of education would you need for this?

Thanks for taking the time to answer these questions-your input really helps.

It sounds like you have a variety of interests, so you just need to find a place that will allow you to shift majors if you want to. You’ll see when you get there if a major/minor or double major arrangement makes sense. One problem with double majors is that you have very little time for anything else (psych/business then no time for bio. bio/pysch then no time for business), so major and minor might make more sense. Take one school as an example and look through their catalogue and requirements. Look on the business major forum in CC for a sense of the types of jobs people talk about.
