Not Taking 4 Years of a Language

Would only taking two or three years of French hurt my chances of getting into a UC?

I am going into my senior year and cannot fit in French 3. Are there any online classes I can take?

Is French 4 (AP) in high school the same as French 2B at a local community college or as the online class ( [FREN 321: Advanced French Grammar (Online) - BYU Independent Study - Online Courses](http://is.byu.edu/site/courses/description.cfm?title=FREN-321-200) )?

I just made a College Confidential account, but I have been reading through some of the forums for a while now. Some people have been mentioning that the recommended 3 years of a foreign language is important for getting into a UC, especially UC Berkeley and UCLA. I’m a senior, but I feel like I have no idea what I’m doing. :P

Thanks for any help.

Three years is good!
