Not taking a course suggested by UC Berkeley

I'm a UC Irvine student whose major is in math and soon to declare physics as his second major. Now, I'm a bit troubled by what I read from Welcome to ASSIST concerning what classes I should take for physics.

It says there that UC Berkeley will not take AP Physics score for credit. Granted, UC Irvine didn't take my score (3) for credit either, but I got something equivalent by passing their placement exam. As a result, I skipped the first course of the introductory physics series (Physics 7A). In an optimist perspective, I received credit for this class.

Since UC Berkeley doesn't take any credit from AP Physics, it could imply it doesn't take credit from this placement exam, and that I SHOULD'VE had enrolled in the first course of this physics series to meet one of the recommendations set by UC Berkeley.

So, the question is, are my chances for transfer hurt if I didn't enroll in this class?
