I am going into 10th grade and where I go to for 9th is still Middle School and i took 3 honors: Honors English History and Science but not math. Adv math is Geometry and im In Alg 2. I plan to take Geometry and Precalc and then go to AP Calc AB. Do you think me taking Alg 2 will affect my shots at my top college, yes im looking already. BTW i have a 4.0 and there are no AP's in 9th grade

I think this is kind of a weird quesiton but i appreciate your imput.

One of the more prestigious 9-12 high schools in my area actually requires all sophomores to take geometry. That means that many freshmen take Algebra I, and the advanced freshmen take Algebra II, join each other for Geometry, and split back off again for Algebra II or Precalculus.

9th- pre-algebra
10th- Algebra II (took Alg I over the summer)
11th- Honors Geometry and Honors Pre-Calc (doubled up in math)
12th- Honors Calculus

I got into a lot of great, selective colleges. They don't care about the order in which you take the courses, just your grades.

Hm... actually I have a weird way of doing things... my school offers Integrated Math honors... but it is much too slow (year-long for one course) so I opted for online math--which is only offered standard. Thankfully, 2/3 are on my Middle school transcript.

Middle School: Algebra I, Geometry

High School:
9th Grade: Algebra II Standard, Pre-cal Honors
10th Grade: AP Calculus BC

Will it matter that I took 1 standard class instead of the honors class so that I'm ahead? No one else at my school will finish pre-cal until their Junior year.

You seriously took AP Calc BC in your sophomore year? Haha. You're crazy. What are you going to do in your junior and senior year?

Actually I'm seriously going to take AP Calc BC my sophomore year--I'm a rising sophomore.
I'm hoping to do multi-variable, differential equations and linear algebra at Harvard after my sophomore year. But I'd need a good amount of FA.
If I'm accepted at my state math/science magnet school, I'll do:
Graph Theory, Combinatorics and Game theory, Number theory, and "Advanced Topics in mathematics 1-III" which are like directed self-study classes.
If I'm not accepted, I have an agreement with a university (30 minutes away) to take math classes there. (I'll probably finish all the classes required for a B.S. in math there... but I'm hoping to go to an upper tier school. My dream is Harvard for there B.S./MA program.)
The ironic thing is that I do even know whether I want to pursue a science and math or the humanities.

To the OP--- 1 class won't make you or break you... either being behind or grade-wise.
