Not Taking Physics In High School

Hi all.
I was wondering if it would be frowned upon to not take physics during your high school years. I am more interested in chemistry/biology, and my school does not require physics to graduate anymore. I am taking AP Biology this year (junior year) but I don’t know if I should at least take basic physics before college. Should I take it senior year?

Thanks!

If you are targeting a top school, then, yes, they will expect physics. If you are setting your sights lower, then it does not matter.

@skieurope Would taking physics senior year be a detriment in any way? I wouldn’t think so, since it is on my transcript.

No. When a college gives a suggestion on HS preparation, it means to be completed before HS graduation, not before submission of applications.

I would take Physics
if at all possible…esp if you are thinking premed.
