Not taking science my senior year?/What are my chances?

Hey, I'm going to be a senior next year and I was wondering if not taking a science class would affect my chances getting into a university such as Stanford, UCLA, or UCB.
Next year I'm going to be taking 4 other AP classes and 3 sports, is this enough? Or should I just suck it up and take AP bio along with it?
Classes next year:
ap econ/civics
ap psychology
ap statistics
ap rhetoric (language and composition)
V. Football/V. Wrestling/V. Track

Also, I'm not sure this is relevent or not but here are some my current stats:
3 year football captain, recieved coaches award sophomore year for JV
Recieved hardest worker award for wrestling freshman year, brahma pride award sophomore and junior year
Eagle Scout with 100+ hours of community service from BSA
75+ hours community service from my church (altar serving and Knights of Columbus)
Technology academy at my school (3 years, not doing it the 4th)
weighted 3 yr GPA 4.33
unweighted 3 yr GPA 3.83
SAT I: 2040 (took in June and hoping for a 2150 +)
ACT: Guesstimating 32-34 (Again, took in June but this is what I generally score on practice tests)
SAT II: 780 Chem 800 Math2C

And since my stats are here, would anyone be kind enough to tell my a guess as to my percent chance of getting into Stanford?

Take BIO instead of Psych. it is much more valuable. Yes, I think it will hurt you if you don’t.

What if I take physics in the summer? Do you still suggest me taking another science class during the schoolyear?

4 years of science are optimal for the superreach schools. so you haven’t had physics and now will skip bio? what science did you have. Drop psych–seriously not important. OR drop econ. They way I see it, you don’t want to take electives at the expense of core classes. Only take the electives if you have room in the schedule and/or you have a strong passion for that subject, like it is something you build your EC’s around.

My advice would be take the classes you enjoy the most even if you do prefer psych over bio because you don’t want to get a lower grade in a class you won’t like.

I didn’t know that it can affect you that bad… But at my school I have block schedule, so 1 semester is equivalent to a year (each class is 1 hour and 30 minutes)… I took Biology 1, Biology 2, Chemistry, AP Chemistry, and AP Biology, should I also take another science? AP Physics next year??

^^Yes, take the AP Physics if you want to demonstrate that you have taken the most rigorous schedule possible to the top colleges.

OP- Follow the advice of Brownparent- take a science senior year. Your current schedule looks “lite”. Most top applicants to Stanford & UCB, UCLA will take AP Physics and AP Calculus senior year.

Yeah, AP Physics and AP Calculus BC does look really good for people who want to go to Stanford (since I’ve heard they are the hardest AP courses). For me, I am not applying to Stanford or any Ivy School… Would I still need to take it? And if so, should I switch World Religions with AP Physics?-- Int’ Relations intended major

What schools are you reaching for rOk?

George Washington University
American University
Pepperdine University
USC
University of Denver
San Diego State

If you are sure that your school gives you credit for an whole year for each semester of the block-scheduled sciences you took, then you seem to have enough. However, you should check on the individual colleges’ sites to read their requirements carefully.

AP Physics on your transcript (with a good grade) would demonstrate great critical thinking skills. But if you hate it, or would do poorly, then it wouldn’t really be helpful.

Yes, 1 semester=1 year because we are in class for 1 1/2 hours instead of 45-50 minutes.

And do colleges honestly ask what classes you plan on taking your senior year if you are doing ED?

Yes they do ask for your senior schedule. And they ask for the mid-year and end of year report with grades in those classes.

But if you are very competitve GPA and test score-wise for those schools (mid 50%-75% percentile), the AP Physics might not be important.

Thank you everyone for your advice! I think I’m going to end up taking AP bio afterall since I have a free period!
@ fauve: I took calc BC this, and they don’t offer multivariable where I go so I had to take statistics. (but thank you for your advice! It looks like you know a lot =])
@BrownParent: Thank you! You’ve influenced my choices.

AP Biology is pretty fun, and I did not think it was that difficult (although, my teacher made us do masteringbio.com–which sucked).

^^My GPA is a 3.8 and 4.25 and I get my ACT and SAT scores by the end of this month (hoping for a 27+ ACT score).

Take physics
