I was always warned that my chances are an international were slim, but I still tried.

I applied to:

Cornell ED - ILR
Brown
UChig
Duke
University of Florida (Proximity to my home country...well relatively)

So far it has looked like this:

Cornell ED: Deferred
UChig: Waitlist
UF: Accepted

I don't know what to expect anymore for the coming decisions; I would just rather a Yes or No answer, no waitlists.

Anybody else feel like this as an International Applicant?

A waitlisting and no acceptances would KILL me. (Or prompt me to do a similar thing to myself!). Kidding of course, but waitlisting would be horrible. Here is how I feel then

Duke: Relatively confident
Cornell: Quite confident
Princeton: Unsure, feel I have a small chance
Harvard: Got a late interview, so a bit hopeful
Yale: Honestly no idea (don’t think so)

I only got rejections as of to date :(

Next one is Stanford, and I applied for Financial Aid there…

Haha

all my results (Gettysburg, Carleton…) were waitlistings as of now :D

Why? Do all colleges have a strict only x% (eg: 7%, 10%) of students per year can be internationals? Or is it just the biggies like HYPSM and the Ivies?

Tha’s a bit unfair huh?
