I wanna aim to transfer to a couple of top schools next fall....the schools I really want to get into are USC/NYU/Tufts/BC.

I'm took only 12 & 1/3 units last trimester and found it not challenging enough (one REQUIRED language course I took was supposed to be time-consuming, but it wasn't at all), so next trimester I'm going to take about 18 units with advanced courses in literature and development economics AND courses taught in a foreign language.

I pulled a 4.0 (not counting PE, where everyone gets a B, only 1/3 a unit), and plan to pull another 4.0 next trimester with more courses.

DOES it look bad if I took less than the "normal" load for a first-trimester freshman at my college? Or is this ok if I've realized I can do much more?

This is another extra question, but if I'm taking a course called "Introduction to _____" in math, will it be considered an adequate college-level math course?
