not too many ECs = bad?

<p>Hey guys, I'm starting my college search, but I'm not sure what schools would be a safety/reach/match.</p>

<p>Freshman:
All A's except B in Art</p>

<p>Sophomore
All A's except B in Spanish</p>

<p>Junior:
Moved to new town with a blue ribbon school
H British Lit.: B+
H Precalc: B
AP US: B+
H Spanish 4: B+
H Wind Ensemble: A+
H Physics: A-
Gym/Health: A</p>

<p>Senior:
AP Calc BC
AP Music
AP English II
AP Environmental Science
AP European History
H Wind Ensemble</p>

<p>SAT II: 720 US Hist.
(planning to take IIc october, and thinking about taking physics... but I hear its REALLY hard)</p>

-Pit Orchestra (4 Years)</p>

<p>Worked as a counselor for one summer.
Currently working through this summer and through the school year.</p>

<p>No community service....... (!!!!)</p>

<p>I was thinking about applying to CMU, NU, UChicago, UMich...</p>

<p>I'm not sure about my major, though I'm leaning towards Engineering/Business at this point.</p>

<p>You really need more community service. This years Princeton's review ranked U Chicago at number 1.</p>

<p>Thanks. Yikes though... when would I have to submit my community service in by? I'm an incoming senior, and it's almost september.</p>

<p>Maybe you can do some now, but it might be kind of late...but you know what, it's honestly worth a try.</p>

<p>Without the CS, I'm basically aiming a lot lower? Where should I aim then?</p>

<p>Colleges aren't really impressed by things you did your freshman year and then quit... I was in three clubs for only 9th grade, I don't intend to even mention them.</p>
