thats cool......anything for free lolz

just wondering....what got you interested in Michigan living so far away?

Because it's Michigan?

Yeah, Michigan is nationally and internationally known. People from all over the country and all over the world know that Michigan is one of the greatest universities and want to go here.

ohh... well my family has always been huge fans of michigan sports.....
then my older brother applied and got denied....... but for some reason.. I have always like Michigan....idk....
I love that area too....I need to get out of the heat!! ha

If you come here, you'll learn to appreciate warm weather. I never realized how much I took every freaking sunny day of the year for granted. I spent the entire sitting outside, studying, and people observing...sunshine is a nice amenity.

I'm not saying sunshine is a bad thing.......but when you come from one of the hottest cities in America....when in the summer you are fer shur to have 50 days of 110 degrees or more.....

Well, apply now, and if you get in, visit once you're admitted... assuming your family feels the finances are manageable. Like you, I grew up in a pretty hot area (120+ degrees daily from Mid June through August) and unlike Arizona, we have unbearable humidity! LOL!!! Michigan winters were definitely new to me!

Heh, I was born in Canada and lived there for 8 years... Now, for the past 9 years, I've lived in Phoenix. I want my cold weather back :( !

I'm only a junior......and if anyone can survive the hotness in phoenix...they can live anywhere in teh world......except maybe africa...cuz i heard its bad..lolz

I dont think phoenix is as humid as my hometown, Dubai..... 120F Hotness coupled with 70%+ relative humidity ( and maybe a sandstorm or two once in a year )... beat that !! ;)

On a serious note, the website has a 10 min admission video which might give you an idea.. It also has a "virtual tour" although its not very interactive.. It gives you a 360 degree view of the buildings,etc...

It seems like lots of people apply to mich from UAE. Just the other day I met a guy from dubai.

Yes, Michiganis a popular destination for UAE students. There are currently over 40 undergrads from the UAE at the University of Michigan. Each year, between 10 and 15 students from the UAE find their way to the Ann Arbor campus, often chosing Michigan over Ivy League schools and other elites like Northwestern, Cal, CMU, NYU, Duke etc...
