Not wanting to take math senior year

I’m not exactly a fan of math and it seems to be driving down my high school GPA. I then looked at the college I want to apply to and saw that I only need 3 required years of math. So then I thought that maybe not taking math in my senior year, so my gpa gets a boost. But I know that I must take math in college for my inteneded major. So then I thought maybe take a math class over this summer, then perhaps one next summer at the community college, so then I’ll be able to get the help I need and at the same time not affect my GPA. What do you think?

what college are you applying to?

Indiana University-Bloomington..... And I'll be applying in August so I don't even think they will see my schedule. And I'm still taking a moderatly difficult course load. AP Lit, AP Physics II, AP US history, German III honors, then some electives.

Have you tried AP Stats?

I took only one quarter of calculus at a community college my senior year and am at Penn right now. As long as your math is strong, which you can demonstrate with SAT and SAT II's, I don't think it's too detrimental to not take math.
