Hi everyone! I came home today and found a note in the mail from the director of admission at Wellesley. I was just wondering who else received a similar pleasant surprise...?

Yes! I did too. It felt soo amazingly cool. That is one reason I love Wellesley. What other college would take the time to hand write personal notes to applicants? It just proves that Wellesley has class.

just out of curiosity, what did the notes say?

i agree serendipity :)

the note said "Dear ____, Congratulations on your positive Early Evaluation from Wellesley College! I was impressed with your academic record and many accomplishments, and feel you have so much to offer our community. I hope you will join the Class of 2012. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at (phone #). Congratulations again and best wishes for the remainder of your senior year. Sincerely, Heather Ayres Director of Admission"

Wellesley showers Early Evaluation admits with a variety of goodies and propaganda. It's fun.

Wellesley sent my parents a letter and a little thing trying to convince them to send me there. They're out of town so they actually haven't seen it yet but I went ahead and opened it for them. Have you guys gotten that yet? I haven't received any sort of note, though.

yep, that is word-for-word what my note said. i haven't gotten the letter for the 'rents yet though. this is so much fun. i hope i get something to hang on my wall next...

You probably will. If you don't, admissions usually has some you can steal.

On my last visit I got a free triangular Wellesley highlighter...haha. But yes, we didn't get a note, but my parents got the envelope-propaganda.

Yep. I got the parent propaganda and I got a note from the asst director.

It's pretty exciting, even though everyone gets it. hehe

Do all of you live on the East coast who got the note? I never did receive one. :'( Sadness.

MidWest here.
