<p>Does Berkeley's CoE require students to purchase a specific laptop model?</p>
<p>I'm a Mechanical Engineering major in the CoE and was not required, nor have I heard of any of the other CoE majors requiring specific laptops. We have lab access almost 24/7...</p>
<p>i'm in engineering undeclared and it's basically just best if you can get a higher quality one (if you become eecs you're going to want to handle programs pretty easily)</p>
