What other schools did your daughter apply to and which one did she choose?
What state are you from and what is your daughter’s intended major?
My S is a Junior from CO and is considering Rollins for a Chemistry major. Any advice based on your visit would be helpful. Thank you!

@ireneb we are from NH. My daughter is going to Rollins. She thinks she wants to major in business, but is going to try out a bunch of subjects. You do. It need to declare a major until the spring semester sophomore year. Interestingly for you, she will be rooming with a girl from Aspen, CO that she met during accepted students day. She chose from Rollins, Eckerd, UTampa and High Point. She was wait listed at Miami with a spring admit and waitlisted at Richmond. She really liked Miami at first, but now she is excited about Rollins and would not accept a wait list slot if offered. I think Rollins is pretty generous with merit aid. She got $20k per year with a 3.7 GPA and 1800 SAT and good music/theater background. She chose it because of good academics, mix of business and liberal arts, weather, welcoming feel of campus and proximity to a city (Orlando). On the topic of chemistry, when I look at the common data set for Rollins it shows that a tiny fraction of students there major in the physical sciences, so maybe it is not so great for chemistry. Usually if a school is strong in an area it will have a good concentration of students in that major.

@hehiker Thank you for your detailed reply, and congrats to your daughter!
