Notification Date for class of '16

Last year it was the 30th, so around there perhaps.

by email or regular mail?

Duke: Released March 29th (online)
Source: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/college-admissions/1272221-admission-notification-dates-2012-a-7.html

Always look at the last page of this tread for the latest dates.

nah the march 29 was from a long time ago…
on the website, it says monday march 29…and since this year, march 29 is a thursday, it’s not march 29

I believe Duke has released them (historically) as early as the 23rd… I think we’ll get an email prior to the release date with the date/time of the actual release.

Okay, there has been a lot of beating around the bush. I’ve heard the 29th thrown around, as well as the 23rd. Does anyone have a semi-confirmed date? Or even an educated guess? I don’t understand how people continue to post about randomness, while we haven’t even set a definite date on when we are finding out. What else is CC for? Socializing? Lol.
Thanks!

Unfortunately most of the posts on CC are a manifestation of anxiety and are mostly speculation. haha.

The only thing anyone knows on this point that

and

I’ve heard from an admissions person AT Duke that we will get the “Get Ready” e-mail the week of the 26th, so don’t expect anything this week.

Thanks, you guys, I really appreciate it. Often times I search through this website, praying for the off chance that a college counselor has inside information and told their students, or whatever… but ultimately, we will all know the date at the same time, through the email they send us. It’s just an impossible truth to accept through all of the anxiety. Thanks again! The waiting game is absolutely dreadful!!!

Yeah, they most likely will sent an email early next week stating the official date, but it’ll probably be the 29th or the 30th.

It’s March 29th around 6 pm EST. Heard it from the dean of admissions himself.

Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I927 using CC

i would think they would send it out in advance to the ivy release time of march 29 at 5pm

@zier9993 yeah, I initially thought so too and decided to call their office and they said March 29th!

They sent them out ivy day last year too!

I wish Duke would release decisions earlier!!!

I just got an email from Duke!

"I want to let you know that Regular Decision applicants (and Early Decision applicants whose admission decision were deferred to Regular Decision) to Duke University may view their admissions decisions online beginning 6:00 p.m. Thursday, March 29, 2012. Financial Aid decisions will also be available online for those whose applications were complete.
You can view your admission decision letter upon logging in to your application checklist.

If you previously activated your account, you will log in here: https://applicants.siss.duke.edu.

If you have not yet activated your application checklist, please check your email - including your “spam” and junk mail folders - for a message with the subject: Important Information on Your Duke Application sent from siss-no-reply@duke.edu. This email will contain an applicant-specific URL you can use to activate your account.

If you are unable to locate the original email, visit idms.oit.duke.edu/applicants-self-barn-resend/ and request a new activation email.

If you do not have internet access on Thursday, we can provide your admissions decision by telephone beginning Friday, March 30, 2012.

Since we deliver our decision letters to applicants, we expect only the applicant will be checking his or her decision online. When you decide to check your decision online, we strongly encourage you to do so in the privacy of your own residence, not at school. We believe your decision is a private matter, and for many reasons we have found it is best for applicants to be away from friends and classmates when they check their decisions.

If you have any technical questions, please direct them to the Duke Service Desk at (919) 684-2200 or email help@oit.duke.edu. You can direct all other questions to the Admissions Office staff at (919) 684-3214 from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays. Remember, though, that we will not provide your admissions decision by telephone until Friday, March 30, 2012.

My staff joins me in thanking you for applying to Duke!
