<p>I have that Friday off, and I think that’ll be my first decision, barring any likely letters. Gonna be a long day.</p>

<p>I found out about my acceptance today! I think there are other letters trickling in!</p>
<p>To those accepted so early, do you think there’s something about you that would give you an earlier acceptance (e.g. URM, athlete, etc)?</p>

<p>I’m a pretty normal white kid. 
I wouldn’t sweat it. It probably has something to do with the order they read the apps in, too.</p>

<p>^I’m not questbridge or a URM or an athlete. I actually didn’t report any race on the common app (though I’m white).
My basic objective stats are:
SAT I: 2340, (800 CR, 790 W, 750 M)
SAT II: 750 Lit, 730 Math II
GPA: 4.0 UW with most demanding curriculum.
I also got an early write from Amherst last week! PM me if you want any more details.</p>
<p>^And it was a huge packet in the mail – there was no prior email notification.</p>
<p>the packet says “welcome to wesleyan” and includes financial aid info (forms missing etc), a small viewbook, accept/deny commitment forms, and one rad bumper sticker hahahaha. it was dated march 11th too.</p>
<p>and there was no reason for the early notification. it said I was one of the first people they told, so I assume they just send them out in groups. For some reason schools like Wesleyan are always really mysterious about it so i wouldn’t worry</p>

<p>Accepted today also! A huge weight off my shoulders, since I was waitlisted at WashU on Friday. In response to the question about any special hook, I’m also a pretty normal white kid. Good stats, but not insanely good. However, I do have pretty good EC’s. I’m just really glad to have received my first admit from a nonsafety!</p>
<p>Accepted March 11th too! I was a QuestBridge Finalist, so that might have contributed to the early admit letter. jr5570, yeah, there was a handwritten note. I think it said, “Come to Wes!” It’s pretty neat that they did that!</p>
<p>Awesome, I got accepted today! My only issue is that my mother lost her job and my father could not work for months due to surgery; so even though I am left with only 5K out of the 59K, I need more aid.</p>
<p>Is there any way to appeal for more financial aid?</p>
