Notification date?

Does anybody know when Vassar usually releases decisions in March? Also, do they post it online as well as mail the decision?

All decisions come out by April 1st. You can check your decision online as well.
Take a look: [Vassar College || Prospective Students FAQ](http://admissions.vassar.edu/applyprospective_faq.html)

My alumni interviewer told me I would find out by the 19th, I think. But then after he said that, he realized that he wasn’t positive that was the actual date, he just thought it was somewhere around then.

Last year people heard March 25-26th, via email or logging on to something at least.

The previous year, letters were purportedly mailed the 26th, but CC people did not seem to get them till the 29th, from a brief glance.

It was posted that the year before that, “letters were received in New York City on Saturday the 29th of March and were presumably sent on Friday the 28th.”

The 25th would make sense. Other Northeastern LACs like Hamilton, Wesleyan & Vassar are all sending out notifications on the 25th.

This wait is agonizing

One question and five different answers…smh :D

I swear, Bossof51 your daughter must have applied to the exact same list of schools that I did, I feel like I’ve seen you on every LAC forum I’ve been on :)

(/completely irrelevant and unhelpful random observation)

Haha pretty much…only she hasn’t gotten in any yet…emphasis on yet! Maybe your paths will cross next year. ;)

Vassar is the only school that is really making me nervous!
I can’t take this wait

Same here! I wish they would just surprise us and send decisions march 15th or something…

^Agreed!

Vassar doesn’t do early writes/likely letters do they?

This is somewhat off topic, but does anyone happen to know the percentage of deferred students that get accepted?

Kenzie1992 is your name mackenzie?! Me too! Oops, that was also off-topic…

HI all,

on the Vassar website it says we can check online if we got int when decisions are out, but does anybody know how? I don’t think i set up an account, have you guys? Anyone know how we’d find out once we know they’re available?

Thanks

:)

It says April 1st, its under “prospective FAQ” my account says the same " materials received blah blah…"

Sent from my X10a using CC App

If I remember correctly, official notifications come out by snail mail. However, I think there is a certain date where if everyone checks their vassar account…people will either be able to login (accepted) or will be denied (not accepted).

Actually that happened last year and has been corrected. All accepted students could log onto an accepted students web page and denied or wait list students got an error message. This year everyone will be able to log on and see thier decision the day they mail out the letters so everyone can check at the same time. It will be the same log in you use to check to see if they have all your materials. Vassar will send out an e-mail a few days to a week before with the log in information and the time and date it will be available on-line. I don’t know what date that will be.

I just got an e-mail saying it’ll be March 25th so…

did it say what time?
