<p>Actually, I selected the optional email notification, but I think I will just wait for the letter (I haven't warmed to the idea of looking at a PC screen for my decision).</p>
<p>If the decision is "Congratulations!" I don't care what form it's in. If it's "Dear [Applicant's name inserted by computer], The Harvard Admissions committee has completed its evaluation of this years' regular decision applicants, and..." (you really don't need to go any further than that)--then I think the paper letter would be less harsh of a blow.</p>
