Anyone know when UR is going to mail their decisions. I've heard "mid-March", but that basically means any time in March. I checked out the old CC forum, last year they came around the 20-30th, any idea if we can expect the same?

Probably arround the same time as last year. . . . . so that means we should be finding out very soon!!

The friends (2) of my friend received their acceptance package last saturday. I'm really concerned now, as I live in the same district, and haven't received mine yet. Have anyone heard yet?

Hey! No, I'm still waiting in anticipation. This is a new englander speaking here. I want some notification NOW!

I'm from Upstate NY and nobody here has heard yet, and we had 3 people apply from my school. Notification isn't officially until April 1st, don't worry, they send things out in batches, i assume by district, and maybe some other factors like alphabetical or things like that. . . . . .10,000 notification letters are a lot to prepare!!

Are your friends in some sort of special program. . . . . .I know REMS have already been notified.

i just called UVA and the nice lady said that decisions come on the first of april. :(

I don't know if they are, i highly doubt it, but I'll double check tomorrow, as they're technically not my friend, but the friends of my friend from another shcool.

That's weird. And 10,000 apps! I wonder what the acceptance rate is.

yes, they do get 10,000 apps... but they accept 50%+ (I think) because their yeaild is something ridiculous, (like 18%),

yeah. . .why is the yeild so low??

Although I have heard that they have filled a large portion of the class with ED applicants already. So the acceptance rate should be a little lower.

the rochester lady said letters get mailed friday

the low yeild comes from the number of people who use Rochester as their safety and don't matriculate in the end. The ED thing, (at least I think) was an attempt by the staff to raise this number by creating a base, where they don't have to risk low numbers for good applicants.

I called the U of R admission's office yesterday, and was told that decisions will be mailed out in the next week. I think a lot of schools were overwhelmed with applications this year, so things have been delayed a little.

has anyone from Pennsylvania received news yet? I'm also waiting in anticipation, and their website says mid march.. well, technically, it is!! I NEED TO HEAR FROM SOMEWHERE! did anyone apply to union?/ hear from union?

oh sorry, i did not realize i was on the u of rochester forum...hehe, but yeah, when i called rochester, the nice lady there said the "bulk of decisions will be mailed friday"

i applied union...and i haven't heard officially yet. I ddi get an e-mail saying "your application was very well put together, it was a job well done"

Hey, elady. I got the same leter!!

It had a spelling error in it, so I thought someone actually wrote it personally. But apparently, it was just a spelling error. . . .lol.

I guess we have very similar taste in schools.

Hm, backtracking a bit, but yea, my friend said her friends received some sort of acceptance already, altho they did not applly as rems. maybe it's thru union...

I just found an e-mail in my inbox this morning that had been sent about 3 days ago that I never bothered to look at because it was from the Union College Biology Department, so I thought it was an advertisement for the school. Good thing I didn't delete it right away...it was an acceptance e-mail!

acceptance email to union? That's odd, I hope I didn't delete one (my brother just took the plan test, now we get so much junk email from colleges).
