Notification Dates?

so, it is almost 9:30 and my mail comes in an hour... dun dun dunnnnnnnn!!!

^Good Luck!

good luck adamo!

Our mail comes around 5 p.m. and we are rural on top of that. Of course since my son has practice after school it's probably a good thing for me!

well, i checked my mail this morning...and nothing. :( maybe tomorrow (what i said yesterday, lol). luckily i am on spring break this week and can check the mail as soon as it runs!

Wow--early mail today, and there is a big envelope from Rochester. Son isn't home yet so the waiting continues....

Hopefully tomorrow for you adamo!

Haha, good luck figuring out how to open it!

I'm not going to say anything about what's been posted...just watch him LOL!

how did your son react texastaximom?

grrrrrrr.... i checked the mail this morning... and nothing! i'm very afraid that it might be a rejection... so they sent it later or something. notice, there have been no rejections thus far on CC (at least i dont think).

I live in Upstate New York and some people in my classes haven't gotten their decisions yet. Don't worry yet. Some of those people should get in, and I'm sure you will too.

He was relieved! And he managed to figure out how to slide the info out. I was waiting to see if he would try to rip it open. ;)

I still haven't received my decision yet...should I be worried about this? Should I call the admissions office on Monday if I still don't get it in the mail?

nah it'll come soon

I live in NY, and found out today that I'm waitlisted. I received the letter offering me to reserve my space in the event someone drops out. I'm going to decline the offer, thoguh. I'm accepted into Vassar, so I'm considerably happy.

i havent gotten my decision yet, either. when i called last week, they said we should hear by the first of april. i'd call only after that.

it seems like everyone is getting accepted....do people know anyone with great stats that were rejected.....if everyone is accepted with great stats, UR will take a major hit....which will not be great.

There is a qualified person in my class, who has not heard back yet. So I can let you know probably this week if he's accepted or not. The other person in my school has been accepted too, so I wonder why he hasn't heard yet. He is in the top 10% of the class and has Mid 1300 SAT scores, not to many ECs though.

well... i got my letter today. it was the worst of the three possible decisions... waitlisted. how in the world???? they probably think i would not attend UR, but they are so absolutely wrong. it was not a safety school at all. i will chose to stay on the waitlist. maybe some of you guys who have been accepted and plan on going somewhere else could give me your spot? eh? i know you want to!

i'm not upsef about the decision, as i was waitlisted from wustl as welll, but what ticks me off is that my father opened my mail before i got home from school when i asked him not to open it. grrrrrrrrr

adamo_e22, You'll be fine at any school, you were definitely qualified to get in. I was in a similar situation with BC, but everything is working out fine otherwise. I'm waiting on Penn, but at the moment I've been waitlisted at BC and St. Joseph's (I really don't know why), it's a bad feeling, but it's really their loss.
If you really want to go to Rochester, call the office and ask who the person handling your file is and for their telephone number. Be nice and explain your situation, it can't hurt.

adamo_e22, did you have an official visit on campus (fill out a card) and have an interview? I think most schools use that to guage real interest.

well, ur is not my number one choice (i find out thursday if numero uno wants me or not) but if they reject me, i sure as heck will be calling rochester and begging... anything to keep me from having to attend my safety school. lol. i want to be able to say "haha, you waitlisted me and i dont care, anymore!" but i seriously doubt that will happen considering the school i am waiting for has an admit rate nearly 1/3 of rochesters.

tothemax, u going to UR? (i am too lazy to look through the other posts, lol)
