Notification- Dec 10 or Dec 15?

When do we get notified if we got in early decision?

All information I can find on the Penn website says we find out December 15th, but some people have posted that we find out December 10th online. If this is true, where did you find that information?

Last year they found out on line December 10. I don't know what this means, if anything, for this year.

I don't think you will expect to find out on Sat/Sun......

Right, so maybe Friday, December 9th???

My guess is more like the 14th.......just a guess 'ya know. I know the wait is excruciating.....we all wait with you. May your envelope be large! May you scream w/ joy and may your parents slap that sticker onto the car window!!!

Ha ha - On behalf of all of us here on CC, thank you for all these many blessings!!

we need a "prayers from a diverse range of higher powers" thread. We got hindus, christians, jews, buddhists, quaker(s?), and probably all sorts of other religions. Some of them are practically the same religion. Some allow multiple religions. We should economise, and go for maximum blessing power!

;)

Nov. 15th, I think...

Still, last year's online results became available on the second Friday of December - the equivalent day this year is the 9th(also a Friday), so that's how I came up with Dec. 9th. But maybe this year's ED pool will be HUGE and they'll need an extra week!

That's the sense I get from talking to admissions reps from various colleges this fall, but maybe they're just talking.

BTW, has anyone ever wondered if any admissions people read these boards? That would be something.

that would suck, cuz they wouldnt know who we are

I was at the virtual chat for international students.. and the admission staff said that results would be out online on 14dec

looks like ive got to change the countdown again

Last year the CCers said that online results came out before they were expected. I think we really just don't know - it might come down to: whenever they are finished making decisions.

let us not forget: "the online application will be available in late august"

lol seriously, it wasnt up till like what... mid sept.

yeah. drove me (us) nuts

"May you scream w/ joy and may your parents slap that sticker onto the car window!!!"

Oh, if only that was the case. My mom tells me everyday that she hopes I don't get into Penn. Initially, she wouldn't even let me apply ED, but in the end she said alright (unfortunately, that doesn't mean she wants me to get in!). Basically, she works at Tufts, and if I got in, I would get full tuition remission (I know, I felt really guilty when I actually submitted my app cause of the entire money thing). Sigh. Making the decision to apply to Penn was the hardest part thus far, but I really love Penn.. a lot. Am I selfish?

a right proper ^@&%$%$!!!

lol, not to sound snotty, but this is about YOU, and whats best for YOU. You'd always feel bad and wonder "what if?" if u ended up at Tufts. You made the right decision, in my mind, but you might want to consider taking on a larger than usual set of loans, if it'll make ye mum feel better shrugs

dude, you should have just gone to tufts and done grad at penn, saves tons of cash. I hope, for your sake, you get financial aid.

Well, the thing is, we're an upper-middle class family, it wouldn't be a problem to pay for Penn (my brother is a senior at Cornell and we got 1K at most financial aid), but I just felt really guilty knowing that 140K was on my back...
