Always look at the last page on this thread for the latest updates

Mail sent on a Sunday? Sounds odd. I was hoping they would send the first wave Wednesday the 21st (similar to the timeline of last year).

If past practice is any guide, mail goes out daily as decisions become finalized. Some years, it has taken over a week to drop all of the envelopes in the mail. :(

In the past, once they were mailing decision letters it was possible to check on line and see if a financial aid button had appeared on your page. If so, you were in. Don’t know if that still holds.

i could be wrong but i believe they did away with updating the financial aid tabs before letters were sent out when they realized that people were catching on and predicting acceptances before they were released.

This is from the Boston College Undergraduate Admission website:

“Candidates will be notified of action taken on their applications no later than April 15. Decisions will not be communicated to applicants via telephone, fax, email, or in person prior to April 1.”

Good luck to everyone! :)

@oliviaclass2012 That is interesting. Yet they have a Honors Day for all applicants accepted into the Honors program on Saturday, April 14th.

So I would assume the decisions will come closer to April 1 than April 15.

Hey y’all. I’m a current freshman at BC and I work in conjunction with the Admissions Department. I can let you know that admissions decisions will START being sent out this week. Good luck to you!

^thanks for the heads up! Do you know when decisions will be available online?

clockblues…how long does it usually take them to get all the decisions out?

thanks for the information, clockblues! You say decisions will START being sent out this week, does this mean they’re going to be sent out in waves? if so, is there any pattern to whose will be sent out first?

Does anyone know if the financial aid info comes with acceptances?

I am so excited/nervous!

Thank you clockblues!

Guh, I’m so anxious to hear back…

@macmac5594 D was accepted in EA and we still haven’t heard from the FA office on any Aid.

@cahsparent: DS was also accepted EA. He received a letter from BC dated March 8th, which included a pamphlet about the Honors Program. In this pamphlet, it stated the financial aid award could be viewed on line. We did not apply for FA but I assume as of March 8th all FA awards for EA’s could be accessed on line. Perhaps you could call the FA office if this award is not showing up on your child’s portal.
Good Luck!

cahparent, my daughter was accepted EA as well and we haven’t gotten an aid award either…

Hey! I was admitted EA and I havnt received FA yet. I was told that we will hear by the end of the month, but there was no set date for when awards were released. You have a FA counselor who calculates your award, so they are posted on Agora portal as they are decided.
