Accepted!

seeing some of the stats of people rejected on here, i’m a little shocked.
2130 SAT, 4.12 weighted GPA, decent extracurriculars, great essay…i suppose its because im a legacy…

does anyone know whether they use courier services such as FedEx for international students? I’m in the middle east so it’ll take a while if they sent it by regular mail. Therefore, I’d imagine I either have to wait for the portal to change or they sent the decision via courier.

^I’m in a similar situation to @messi12. Anyone have any information??

@messi12 and sophaloph
In the USA we tend to assume the postal service is same all over the world and hence you won’t get what you are looking for on CC. I suggest you directly mail BC Admissions and request the information.

I strongly disagree. All colleges know that the equivalent of first class mail takes 7-10 days to be delivered internationally. They are not that ignorant.

BC is known for being lenient on the legacy admit criteria. My daughter just received the waitlist option while a student at her school got in with credentials significantly less impressive than my daughter and some of her other friends that also received the waitlist option. Less than impressive credentials seem to not matter as much when you are a legacy …3.6, 2 APs, minimal ECs. This student is a HUGE legacy…both parents and two older siblings are BC grads. Plus, they are fabulously wealthy and I’m sure donate big money to the school. I’m not saying this person won’t be successful at BC, but when it comes to legacies, the playing field is not even.

^^Legacy at BC counts for less and less every year. (Borderline legacies often times end up on the WL.) Development candidates ($$) are still big plusses at every private college, however.

Other factors besides numbers that are considered: college to which applied (Arts & Sciences, CSOM, Nursing, Educ.)…female apps receive big bonus points at every undergrad biz school of which I am aware, and BC is likely no different.
