Does Stanford email or do something to say that they received your application? I haven't heard from them ever, so I'm getting a little worried. Should I have at least gotten a confirmation or something? Thanks!

I haven't gotten anything yet either.

You should be receiving an email sometime.

In the meanwhile, try Axess: https://axess.stanford.edu . On the left side, there is a link that says "Check Application Status." Click on that link, put in your email address, and they will send you an email that tells you if your application is complete, or if you are missing anything.

Very useful, thanks!

^ Well, D tried Axess and did get an email response within the 24 hours. But it stated that it would take "several weeks" to have status on the app. She applied back in early December.

I am not sure if even those who applied RD with Arts
supplement (Nov 15 deadline) have heard back that their
app is complete when querying via the Axess iinterface ....

...anyone? Curious.

:)

I applied back in early Nov. and havent received anything

I just received an email literally ten minutes ago. I applied in late December. It was just a notification that my RD app had been received. They said that they'd be sending out another email on February 15 regarding whether or not my file is complete.

I also just received an email today. I applied mid-November and this is the first email I have received. Stanford says they have nearly 25,000 applications for admission :-((

i got the same email a few hours back. first bit of correspondence from them (unless you count the auto generated responses to the emails i sent them). at least now i know that i am on their list of 25000 applicants.

booo.... 25,000 applicants..... good luck to everyone, I think we're gonna need it this year =S

I'm seeing a 10% acceptance rate again. Maybe even closer to 9%.

Yeah, I got the same email everyone else has been getting. I would stop worrying about potentially missing materials until Stanford contacts you.

...10%.....that's almost as bad as my AP Physics grade :D Haha jk jk. So much competition though. It's almost as bad as Harvard's! That probably means that Harvard will have an even higher number of apps probably so their admittance rate will drop to like 8% or something. :(
