Notification of Deficiencies

Does anyone know when UT informs you of any deficiencies in coursework? My son is short by one semester of economics and one semester of social studies. I think they might give him a pass on SS since he will have taken a total of 8 years of language, but he doesn't have anything at all resembling economics. He's already received his acceptance letter, but there's no mention of deficiencies.

I answered my own question - should have checked the UT website first. Here’s what it says:

"Why is the Application Status Check Page showing my application as deficient?

The information submitted on your Freshman Application and/or your high school transcript indicates that you haven’t completed or don’t have in progress all the high school courses required for admission to UT Austin. To be considered for admission, you must let us know how you intend to make up for the deficiency. (See the questions that follow for details.)"

So I guess they decided my son doesn’t have any deficiencies! That’s odd. Oh, well, good news!

I’m glad to see I’m not the only one who does that. I will look for something but won’t be able to find it. As soon as I post a question, BOOM, I find the answer.

Yeah, it’s funny that way! That’s why I try not to be annoyed when someone asks an “obvious” question!
