I just got accepted into AU and unfortunately my acceptance letter did not say I received any scholarships.

However their website states that a scholarship recipient would be informed in their acceptance letter or after the acceptance letter is received… So I was just wondering if anyone here got accepted and only learnt about their scholarships a few days/weeks later.

last year i got an email telling me i got in, but when i got my acceptance stuff in the mail, it had the scholarship info in it as well.... however, i'm not sure whether the site may have said that all scholarship info would be received then or not, i just know that's how i found out

I sent mine on march 1st, so it took about 4 to 5 days to be processed --which I find scary, lol. Not aware of the prospective student portal thing, I'll check though.

Anyway, if you guys don't mind me asking...why did you apply to American? Also, what's the most appealing factor about the school for you personally? and consequently, what's the least appealing?

Wildflower~Where are you from and are you applying as a freshman or to grad school? We called AU and they said most offers would be extended in about two weeks and that status would not be available on line...

Wildflower what were your sats and gpa if you dont mind me asking because that was an awfully quick turnaround with lots of others having apps in earlier and still no decisions

I'm worried...my app was in by 12/17 and I still haven't heard anything yet. Hopefully I hear before sometime next week. The waiting is killing me!

I looked at original wildflower posts to other threads. He/she?? describes himself as a 21 yr old attending community college with a college gpa of 3.7 and an unusual tale of non-US citizen hardship. If this is all on the level, his acceptance is not relevant to the applications of 05 seniors.
