1000 volunteer hours??

how did you do that!??!

don’t think i got it. no notification here.

oh well. there’s always yale. :)

EDIT: maybe it’s by region?! i’m not sure, because i haven’t been rejected. but i find it more likely that i’ll be rejected than accepted… any other midwesterners notified? or not notified?

Tres… ^^^^

Did you check Crimson email? Spam folders of your various email accts?

Do you know which email address you used when you applied?

D received semifinalist notice by regular email yesterday (Texas).

yes. checked them all. ALL. i can double-check! i checked crimson mail. nothing.

i double-checked. nothing! i even checked the UFE place on MyBama, and it says my app was submitted.

I wonder why some are getting notices by email and some are getting they by snail mail. And, some are getting rejections?

nothing at all here.

i didn’t see any by regular mail … maybe I missed it.

: /

still nothing here - that makes three on here from the midwest with no news, neither a yes or a no. hmmmmmmm

okay! glad i’m not alone. what a relief. good luck to you!

Nothing here yes or no…

I live in the Midwest and got an email yesterday about my semifinalist status. That’s weird how some people didn’t get anything…

D2 just found her e-mail saying she’s a semifinalist tonight. But the problem is that her phone interview is scheduled during her varsity basketball game next Thursday night. We are wondering if it would make a bad impression to reschedule the interview. On one hand they might think that the Fellows is not important to her, but on the other hand she would be bailing on a commitment to her team–and she’s team captain. Thursday is a tough and important game. Her coach will be crushed if she doesn’t play. What do you guys think? Appreciate any feedback here because we have to respond by Tues. morning. Thanks.

^^I say reschedule. I’m sure they won’t mind.

Mike Wozowski-I did 500 hours apiece for two summers. I volunteered a community theatre and did slave hours…but i LOVED it

I think rescheduling would be perfectly fine. UA understands that students have important evening activities and that assigned telephone interview times may not work. I don’t know if time differences were considered when assigning interview times, but that can cause problems too. A 6PM CST interview may be difficult for a person on the west coast because there it’s 4PM PST and the student may still be busy with school. Be flexible concerning the rescheduling and everything will be fine. I’m even betting that they have Friday times set aside for those who couldn’t do Thursday.

They would TOTALLY understand. They just throw a time out there knowing that some kids will HAVE to reschedule due to sports, doctors appts, jobs, whatever. Just call Wellon on Monday and reschedule. Have a few suggested times in mind when you call.

Ok, thanks, Guys for the advice on the rescheduling. Good luck to your all.

still nothing.

^same here - maybe they’re saving the best for last?!
Tres - did you also apply for CBH?

nope. 10char.
