sweet. my last name starts with a Z. i can already see how nervewracking the 31st is going to be.

dande and persona, I went through the same thing! I thought it was so ironic, and almost comical. You get to a point where you aren't even nervous anymore

yeah all of your life you wait if you are in the t-z part of the alphabet. always get stuck getting your ice cream at snack last, getting to be leader last, getting the worst seats. one cool teach actually did it backwards and it was my favorite class. us end of the road kids are very scarred by this. i bet you a and b kids are spoiled and suck! joke

hahaahha my last name starts with an A and i can understand that must not be fun for you guys :(

and grantortue, yes. i wasnt nervous i was just at my wits end. :)

last name's also a Z. funny thing is 1st name starts w/ A, so I was always hoping they'd go alphabetical by 1st name. alas, it was not meant to be

My last name starts with T, but first with D. And I was hoping for the same things in my kindergarten - and they actually did it sometimes, so I was really happy back then!
However, after I got into high school, I've always been so glad I am at the end of alphabetic order because I've always been one of the last ones to be examined orally :) (in Europe, we have more oral exams than actual written tests) And I really hate when some teachers suddenly stop opening from the beginning of alphabet or randomly but start from the end. Such uncomfortable anxiety... Only thing that can save me is the bell.
