It’s already 9:12 AM 12/10/2011 now in my time zone. Still no notification! Do you think Bowdoin will release the results on Monday next week?

I live in Maine. I’ll check the mail this afternoon to see if I get a notification. If I don’t get anything, I will probably get it on Monday or Tuesday.

Waiting for your best result GODZILLA!
I heard international students will receive e-mail notification first.

Thanks sujiehon! Good luck to you too!

Notification will definitely be later this year than it was last year. This seems to be the case for other NESCACs as well. Since they tend to follow roughly the same practices, it’s worth looking at what is going on at peer schools. This is what I found so far:

Dec 13 (Tuesday): Amherst and Wesleyan

Dec 15 (Thursday): Colby (on-line postings on Dec 16 - Dec 15 is the date for the mail)

On the Middlebury thread, they are speculating that notification may be as late as Dec 17th (likely because Middlebury’s practice as been, for several years, to post notifications on-line at 8AM on a Saturday)

Somone should probably call Bowdoin on Monday to find out the real date!!!

Yep, I head the same thing unfortunately. Apparently they’re mailing it out on December 13th.

Really, Kienzle?
So i’m guessing international students will receive the notification e-mail the next day.

Yeah no letter today.

I really wanna know! I’m dyinggggg here

sujiehon, yep I’m pretty sure. I know someone who actually called their admissions office and that’s what they said.

It’ll be soon, but man am I anxious…

Did Bowdoin College ask anyone of you guys that it needs your senior grades or more infos??because it did not ask me about it…Does that mean that I did not get in?:(

They asked me for my 1st marking period grades but thats it. they just contacted my guidance counselor and she sent them. try contacting your guidance counselor to see if Bowdoin requested your grades.

Do you know when they asked for your senior grades? I sent mine in on my own about 3 weeks ago because my guidance counselor said they hadn’t asked yet.

They asked my guidance counselor this past Thursday (the 8th) which is really weird cause it was really late and last minute. I didn’t even think that they were going to ask for them. I’m not sure if it’s good or bad though

how do you know they’re sending it on the 13th?

Thanks mjbnj12!

A lot of schools automatically send 1st term grades. The specific requests may be in cases where they did not so Bowdoin is chasing them down. Check with guidance tomorrow. Keep the faith!

Has anyone else been obsessively visiting this thread over and over today, hoping there has been more news? I don’t think I’m the only one, but I’m pretty sure a good portion of this thread’s views are from me.

about once every three-four hours when I’m awake, I don’t know where else to get news

My son’s counselor said that last Monday, they called to ask for his grades. He just found out that there is another boy from his small private boy school that also ED Bowdoin. They asked for both of their 1st quarter grades. We’re not sure whether this is a good thing or not. We figured they might be trying to decide between one or the other! We don’t feel they will take both. My son is a very strong applicant and the othe boy was recruited athlete. This all makes this process more nerve-wracking!
