Some people, including one of my daughter’s friends who auditioned for MT, have received notification via e-mail from Syracuse today. Supposedly they’re being sent out in waves. Has anyone received anything? Since D hasn’t received anything yet, is this bad news? The poor girl is on pins and needles, checking her e-mail every 5 minutes.

Yes, I know 3 or 4 kids who got acceptances today. But that does NOT mean they’re done notifying! Sometimes they come in waves!

My D got an email today that she got in the MT program.

Congrats violeteyes - very happy for you and your D!

My daughter also got an e-mail saying she was accepted to the MT program late this afternoon. Her good friend who auditioned at the same time has not heard anything yet, though…

Same here. Finally made it to one of her top schools + with financial aid and scholarship! It was a roller-coaster ride this week after two rejections in a row!

Congrats to all who were accepted! If you didn’t get an acceptance yet, don’t give up. Syracuse typically sends out several waves of acceptances over the next few weeks.

My son also received an acceptance e-mail today. What a grueling process. Hang in there if you haven’t received one yet.

How big of a class is accepted in MT at SU?

Yes, they are definitely sent out in waves. My D heard in the last wave around March
27th last year. Hang in there. I think they accept around 20-25 MT now. Can’t remember exactly but I can ask my D how big her MT class is. Congrats to those who made it and if you have any questions holler! :)

@Lulu63, I’m giving your a holler! Appreciate if your D could provide some input on freshman experience in the other thread - just posted a request there, too.

Desperately need some first hand input as we won’t be able to visit the school before May 1 deadline and we also did not have the chance to visit it all during the audition. My D applied in Syracuse based on their website info - we also do not know anyone who is studying there now esp. in MT. It was long-shot application but immediately after the audition, we both felt good about Syracuse - and fortunately, she was accepted with scholarship and grant.

ParadiseMT – I sent you a PM. My D graduated from SU in 2010 and I would be happy to share her experiences. It’s a great school!

Has anyone heard anything after Saturday? From the looks of it on here and of the people I’ve talked to it almost seems like they’ve already accepted their freshmen MT class but I could definitely be wrong…I hope I’m wrong!

Don’t give up yet. See my post #7.

Paradise MT, I wish she had the time to write but she is swamped right now with teching a show and just getting back from break. She is also in the middle of auditioning for some summer shows. The program is wonderful!!! I really wish you had time to visit and sit in on a few classes or attend Accepted Students Day! If you PM me I will give you my D’s email and maybe your child can ask her questions? She just really is super busy right now. Also fighting off the end of mono!! Ugh! I can give you her schedule of classes if you want for Freshman year.

Thanks, Lulu63. It’s fine for your D not to respond now. Will PM you once my D is on decision stage (if we ever get that option!). Just got the invitation for the the Multicultural Spring Program but will not be able to make it all.

Thanks, onstage, too.

Ok sounds good! Best of luck with the decision process and Go Orange!

do they ever send emails on Saturday or just Friday?
