hi! i apologize if this isn't the right subforum, but i didn't know where else this could go.

i applied early decision to a college as an h-4 visa holder with no social security number. a couple of days later, my family applied for a green card and i subsequently received a ssn and a work permit. should i notify colleges of this update? i know that i'm still going to be considered an international student, which i'm frankly fine with. i'm just planning to put down my new social security number on my supplements and i don't want colleges to get any ideas since my commonapp (which i cant change now) doesn't have my ssn. my ed college apparently called my counselor to "verify something" so my application is already sketchy as it is lol.
