Notre Dame accepting more than one student from a single school

Hey y'all

Some schools (especially ones ivies like Dartmouth) tend to only accept one student per applicant pool per school. I don't know if this is true for all high schools, but it certainly is true for mine.

Does Notre Dame only accept one student per school, or are they more generous with their admissions? Any help is appreciated...I'm just trying to gauge my early action chances.

I heard that rumor back when I was applying to college, but I don’t think it’s always true. I can tell you that I know of several cases where multiple students from the same school were accepted to ND in the same year. Also, the year I applied, there were 3 of us from my class who were accepted to Dartmouth. Good luck!

Last year there were around 6 kids from my school who were accepted so no this does not apply to Notre Dame

Obviously all the evidence one way or the other is anecdotal, but this isn’t something you should worry about.

They did have at least 2 kids from my daughters class get accepted…they didn’t attend, both went to Ivy’s. The people at Dartmouth were great and it was hard for my daughter not to go after the kindness, etc. from ND. The alumni were great!

Great, thanks for the help! This news is a bit of a relief.

They definitely accept more than 1 student… at my high school there’s been even 3 students from 1 year go there.

My school has had multiple students get accepted to a lot of top schools including Notre Dame and even Harvard (3 last year)

Notre Dame definitely accepts more than one applicant per school. I go to a Catholic high school, and every year we routinely have 60-70 kids that apply and usually 15 or so are accepted.
