Notre Dame Class of 2016 EA/RD Decisions Thread!

There were seven taken from the list last year, which was an unusually small number. Depends on how many that were offered places actually accept. The intent last year was to reduce the size of the incoming freshman class a bit, but more accepted than expected. The class ended up around 2025 students. Also, I understand that there is no priority on the list, meaning you are not #5 on a list. It depends on where the space available falls, such as male/female due to housing, intended majors, changes in status (you won a Nobel prize, etc.) If anything substantial changes in your status, let your rep know. Be sure your rep knows that you are interested, even if you need to make a deposit at another school by May 1. Also, if you decide to accept another school’s offer and no longer pursue a place at ND, let them know that, as well.

Has anyone from cali gotten a rejection letter via email? Im just hopeful that ill get something in the mail today cause i have not heard from them online…PRAYYYY :)

Did the accepted students get their letters by priority mail? One of my friends has already heard from notre dame while I haven’t gotten anything…

Wait-listed after being deferred early action.

30 ACT, 3.65 UW/ 4.24 W, Good extra-curriculars, great recommendations.

^^ i think so cause I live in CA too and i havent heard from them, my mailman came like 20 minutes ago and nothing from ND…im scared cause tmmrw is sunday and no mail then which means monday, ill hear and im inclined to think its gonna be a rejection if theyre sending it out a little bit later

Rejection came regular mail

I don’t think most west coast applicants will get ND mail until Monday, maybe even Tuesday, based on the pattern of the last couple of years. It just takes that long to get to us out here. As far as I can tell, ND has not staggered sending the mail based on acceptances or rejections either, so just keep the faith a few days longer. Good luck to you all.

in SC… haven’t heard anything yet. Anyone from the southeast gotten anything?

I GOT THE BIG ENVELOPE TODAY. ACCEPTED, AND I’M CRYING LIKE CRAZY RIGHT NOW.
Seriously, this was the last college decision for me. Everyone else rejected me, and my dream school accepted me. My knees are seriously shaking right now. I thought I would end up going to community college.

For those of you who want to know, I had a 2110 SAT with a 4.1 weighted GPA. Not many outstanding EC’s, but I’m a nationally ranked golfer. I really think it was the essays that helped me get in though, especially the risk one. Seriously, even UC Irvine rejected me. My life is now complete…

Applicants who live overseas should receive an e-mail from the Office of Undergraduate Admissions.

D got her rejection in SoCal today

I got my rejection from Brooklyn, New York today.

what do you guys think about the weight a school like ND places on grades and the superficial numbers, I had much lower numbers comparatively but I feel that my essays were quite strong,im just scared im no competition for those kids with 4.3,4.4 type GPAs and 2250s
