HI! I applied REA and I’m getting more anxious by the minute- can someone chance me?
35 ACT (35 on every section)
3.9 Unweighted GPA
Applying for financial aid
5 APs, go to a private school (on full aid), so all of my classes, at the very least, are accelerated/honors
Captain of Varsity Cross Country team (4 years, 2x state champion team)
Captain of Varsity Water Polo team (4 years, 1x State champion)
Varsity Swimmer (4 years)
Peer Tutor in math and physics
President of Psychology club
International Ambassador (represent my school abroad)
Curated all the music for an original play that toured in South Africa
Orientation leader
Worked at a hunting shop this summer
Advisor / mentor to younger students (appointed by school deans)
I wrote a pretty good common app essay and also wrote an additional information essay b/c I was placed in the foster care system at 15 and wrote about that. ND has been my dream school forever and I really want to get in? How are my chances?
Honestly I’m super nervous about ND results. Last year I was chosen for their Summer Leadership Seminars, and we were told me have a…very solid shot at getting into the school, but now I feel like if I dont get in, I’ll be the 1% failure from the program that didn’t make it. Definitely feeling a ton of stress, and wish the results would come out tomorrow.
I watched a video from ND Admissions that said that 50% of Catholic High schoolers who are in the 99th percentile of Testing/GPA apply to ND. Crazy right?
Okay, I thought I’d just post my stats because this thread is waaaaay too quiet and I need to do something to calm my nerves.
Applying for Business
1540/1600 Old SAT (800 M, 740 CR)
3.91 GPA (But this is WAAAAY inflated the way my school calculates it. Out of 100, I’m only at a 92)
Go to a Catholic school that feeds into Notre Dame (25+ accepted per year)
Eagle Scout, NHS, Baseball, Tutor, Math Team, Recycling Club, worked at McDonald’s (the only reason I really did anything in high school was to make my college app look nice haha)
Have 2 huge risks in my application: First words of my common app are “allahu akbar”, and I wrote in a super-informal style for the “take a risk” essay
TBH my app is pretty crap without the SAT score. It looks prettier here on CC than it did when I sent it in (mostly because of the essays).
Fun facts about me: I’m an atheist and I’m also applying to USC (don’t chastise me plz).
Thats it. I’m honestly kind of just posting here for one last ego-boost before my EA results start to pour in this week. I hope you don’t mind too much. Good luck to everyone else applying tho!
Lots of great information on the thread. I am wondering when people comment on chances of acceptance how they know what someone’s chances are? Good luck to everyone. Hoping today is the day.
35 ACT
3.9 unweighted/ 4.46 weighted GPA

Academic Competition Team Captain
Treasurer of NHS
Beta Club Member
Captain of the Ambassador (Freshman recruitment team) program
Hello, everyone.
I’m new here(didn’t know a REA thread even existed). Anyway, I just got off the phone and an official from the Admissions Office said that the decisions will be out by the end of this week.
Can’t wait!
Hey guys 3.83 UW, 34 ACT (36E, 35M, 30R, 36S)
Special needs athletic program volunteer
NHS
Medical Science club
Commended scholar by national merit
Caddy and work a part time jib
and good essays with solid letters of recs and 5 AP classes. What are my chances?
I would just like to remind everyone that this is NOT a chance thread. Myself and I’m sure many others are trying to avoid those kinds of posts so close to the decision date. I am on this thread to get information about REA not to look at other people’s (stellar) stats. Please post on a separate thread if you are posting a chance me.
