You look like a very good canidate. EA is VERY selective. My daughter was ranked number 1 in her class for 4 years GPA of 4.0 of 4.0. President of the NHS. She was an Archdiocesan Scholar. She ran track and CC. She was involved in numerous service groups and headed Ministry and Service. She was the co editor of the schools paper and had SAT’s of 770 Math; 700 Reading; 790/ Writing and was not selected EA. She was admitted during regular decision and could not be happier with her choice (over Georgetown, BC, Scranton. Temple and others). If you do’t get in EA do not be discouraged. Contact your admission counselor and reiterate your interest. We stopped by during the early fall of her senior year just to put a face with the application. I don’t know what factored in the decision to admit her (prayers may have helped too) but she made the cut. Best of Luck and Go Irish.

@Dadof4greatkids thank you so much for your response! of course, your daughter’s story worries me regarding her experience with EA but I’m just praying that I get in early.

Praying helps. I truly believe that. My response was not meant to discourage you but I know how disappointed my daughter was (and me too) when she was not accepted EA, as I could not imagine a better candidate. The truth is ND is extremely competitive and EA more so. When she the notification on her account that she was accepted on March 18 (remember that date) she was so excited and relieved. I’m sure you will feel the same. God bless and good luck

Just wondering but how did you get a 4.0 if you got several A-'s and a B+? Also, I think you definitely have a chance, but Notre Dame seems to put quite a bit of weight on test scores (just judging from their stats). You seem to fit their type of student with your heavy involvement in varsity sports. Have you considered applying ED?

@oPhilippos I’m not sure how I got a 4.0 with my grades, but that’s what it says on my transcript. it could be weighted and if it is I’m not sure what unweighted would be. they don’t have ED, so i’m applying EA.

you have awesome grades and look like a great candidate. I was just admitted today and my test scores weren’t as high as your’s. Best of luck!

UPDATE: Accepted!!!

Congratulations @junior2017
